Science & Technologies for Phosphorus Sustainability

Full course description

Phosphorus (P) is a non-renewable resource essential for plant and human life. Its primary use is as a fertilizer, and with current disruptions in supply chains and increases in fertilizer cost, we need to understand the fate and transport of P in the natural system and how it can potentially be conserved and reused.

This course covers topics related to P sustainability as a critical natural resource and comprises seven independent modules. Please contact Jango Bhadha at for more information.

This course was supported by University of Florida IFAS Extension and the Science and Technologies for Phosphorus Sustainability (STEPS) Center, a National Science Foundation  Science and Technology Center (CBET-2019435).
